The calm before the spaghetti storm.. 🍝

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks with designing and photo shoots here and there. This snap is from last weekend's Saint Hilarion Festa at Seaton.

Photos of the event will be posted soon by the , but I had to share this picture of the 'pentola' (pot), before the spaghetti eating competition began.. I chuckle every time I see it 😂

🎉 Congratulations to on 50 years of Italian music, language and culture!

I’m proud to be a part of this wonderful community and have shared some great moments on and off air over the years. But perhaps the most important part for me was back in 2014 with the rebirth of the radio, where I was given the job of rebranding the station with a new logo. From marketing and social media to a new website, we entered the digital age. This month also marks 11 years of the Radio Italiana 531 brand which has gone above and beyond what we had imagined. Grazie 💚🤍❤️

Thanks to all those who have made and make this radio what it is today. Thanks for the laughter, the mani ai carciofi 🤌🏼 and the many friendships over the last 14 years of mine—even if it’s only been 6, we all know once you’re part of the radio, you are forever part of the radio…

A shout out to whose who were there creating some of the funniest on air memories with me; Joyce and Francesco (my fratelli), Amanda, Enrico, Davide, Robbystyle, Vince†, Marco, Simone e Andrea. Ci sentiamo in radio, ci vediamo in giro!

Last Wednesday was the launch of Radiothon, the biggest night on the Radio Italiana 531 calendar. Not only was it a night to celebrate the radio, this year we witnessed something beautiful, something special.. a community united.
Well done to Radio Italiana 531 for their vision in bringing the community together and allowing us to appreciate and also thank these clubs that help keep the culture and traditions we love so much alive. I have always believed in “Community OVER Competition” and Wednesday night we witnessed this.

🍾 Well that's a wrap! On Wednesday night Studio Victoria had the pleasure to present the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Community history book "70 Years - A Celebration of Faith, Mission and Fraternity" to Premier Peter Malinauskas.

This design project was very personal for me as I grew up within the Newton Community and I am honoured to have been a part of the story. After endless hours in the Church archives researching and scanning, designing and typesetting day and night and editing for hours, this book came to life. All this would not have been possible without St Francis Of Assisi Newton Parish and the Capuchin Friars, who started it all back in 1949, the Italian Festa Committees and the volunteers and parishioners who continue to add to the story of our Catholic Community. Special thanks to John Di Fede for entrusting me with my designs and to Emma Luxardo for putting all the stories and Globo articles together, and for translating my never ending photo descriptions 😅

A massive thank you to Openbook Howden Print for their amazing work in getting this book printed for us and delivered on time for the launch at Parliament House. You guys went above and beyond. The best printers in Adelaide! ❤️

Last Friday we celebrated International Women’s Day with Radio Italiana 531 who organised a wonderful evening. I had so much fun shooting this event as Claudia Migliaccio got us all up and dancing with her amazing voice 💃🏻
Congratulations again to the Radio Italiana and Eleonora for putting on another successful event. Viva la donna 🩷

Last week Studio Victoria had the honour photographing the 8th Italian Design Day hosted by the Consolato d'Italia Adelaide. The event was held at Ferrari Adelaide with a brilliant conversation between architect Thomas Masullo, Director of Woods Bagot, one of the most famous architecture firms in the world, and Designer Jim Hannon-Tan, industrial design expert whose activity, inspired by the convergence between art and technology, has led him to collaborate with some of the most prestigious companies globally. The conversation, moderated by the design professor at the University of South Australia, Anna Brown, was around the theme chosen for the 2024 edition of Design Day: "Manufacturing value - Inclusivity, innovation and sustainability".

The ‘Progetto Donna’ Awards presented by Com.It.Es South Australia was held last night with the welcoming of the new Italian Consul.

It was an honour to be nominated for one of the awards last night. As an artist working in the graphic design field for over 20 years, it’s very rare to be nominated for anything in such a male dominated industry as well as working in an industry that is heavily undervalued, especially within the Italian community.

Thanks again to Antonia for the nomination and congrats to all the finalists and winners on the night ❤️

With the Adelaide Italian Festival in full swing, I thought I’d get nostalgic and go through the archives.

As part of the steering committee for the now AIF (Adelaide Italian Festival), I got to work along side some great people in putting the foundations down for the future of the festival. During my time as committee member, I got to theme up the first years event for the AIF and designed the programme for that year.

Nothing screams Italia more than 3 vespas in the tricolore 💚🤍❤️

Yesterday was the 5th celebration of the Journey Mass for the Adelaide Italian Festival 💚🤍❤️

It’s great to see the event is still part of the Italian Festival. This has to be one of my favourite events, as we come together to give thanks to God for our parents and Nonni. They had the courage to journey towards the unknown for a better life for themselves and their families.

This is a throwback to when Studio Victoria was asked to design the event poster for the first couple of years. I had a little fun with the nostalgia theme using my dads “alien” migration papers, as well as designing and printing vintage luggage tags where people wrote down details of their journey from Italy to Australia.

Being able to bring both of my worlds together (culture and creative) was and always will be great ❤️
