Coming to Beverley ...

We’re heading to the 2026 Beverley Agricultural Show on the 22nd.

There’s something I really enjoy about getting out into the smaller communities and meeting people where they are.

Not everyone wants to sit in front of a computer and try to work something out on their own.

Sometimes you just need to be able to say:

“Can you show me how to do this?”

So, if you’re heading to the Beverley show, come and say hello.

Bring your questions. Bring your phone. Bring the thing that’s been annoying you.

We’ll sit down, have a look at it and take it from there.

DelMac Digital Support

Let’s start with a cuppa and take it from there.

Digital Updates

"I know I should update it… I just don't know what I'm doing."

We hear this a lot.

You might be worried you'll press the wrong thing.

You might have had an update go wrong before.

You might simply prefer someone to sit beside you and explain it as you go.

That's okay.

You don't need to be “good with technology” to keep your devices up to date.

Sometimes having someone patiently show you what to do, answer your questions and make sure you're comfortable before you press that button is all you need.

And that's what personal digital support is about

Pretty cool little milestone for DelMac Tech

This one makes me pretty damn proud.

The rally featured on the front page of today’s Midland Echo is one I had the privilege of providing the tech support for.

I didn’t organise the rally, and I certainly can’t take credit for the cause — but I did the tech behind the scenes that helped make the event happen.

More than 200 people turned out in Midland, and now the rally has made the front page.

It’s a pretty cool reminder that tech isn’t just about computers.

Sometimes it’s about helping people bring an idea to life, connect with their community and get their message out there.

And today, I get to open the Midland Echo and think:

“Yep. I did the tech for that.”

ATTENTION! For ANYONE experiencing domestic violence – if you have a hidden safe phone, we recommend turning it OFF, giving it to a safe person, or switching it to airplane mode on July 27th at 12pm.

A new national warning system (called the AusAlert test) will send a safety alarm to all phones at this time, even if the volume is turned down, or it’s on silent / do not disturb.

Share this message & stay safe. 🧡

💡 Tech Tip Tuesday

Did you know...

You don't need to remember every password.

You only need to remember one really good one.

A trusted password manager can securely store your passwords, create strong unique passwords for every account, and save you from using the same password over and over again.

It's one of the easiest ways to improve your online security.

💡 One password. Hundreds remembered. Much safer.

🩷 Pinky's Tip - Never reuse the same password for important accounts like your email or internet banking.

If one account is compromised, scammers often try that same password everywhere else.

💬 Do you use a password manager, or are you still trying to remember them all?

(No judgement... we've all been there! 😄)

🚨 Scam Alert Monday

Have you ever received a message that says...

"URGENT! Your account will be suspended unless you act immediately!"

Take a deep breath...

Urgency is one of the oldest tricks in a scammer's toolbox.

Scammers want you to react before you have time to think.

Before you click a link or hand over your information, ask yourself:

🤔 Was I expecting this message?

🤔 Is it asking me to act immediately?

🤔 Is it asking for personal, banking or login details?

🤔 Can I verify this another way?

If something doesn't feel right...

Pause. Check. Then decide.

⁉️ DelMac's 10-Second Rule

If someone wants you to panic... pause instead.

Those ten seconds could save you thousands of dollars.

💬 What's the most convincing scam message you've ever received?

(Please don't post links or personal information in the comments.)

❌ Tech Myth

"I don't have a computer, so I can't get scammed."

✅ Tech Truth

Unfortunately... that's no longer true.

These days scammers don't just target computers.

They target:

📱 Mobile phones

📞 Phone calls

📩 Text messages

📧 Emails

🛒 Online shopping

💬 Facebook and social media

If you have a phone, use the internet, or even answer calls from unknown numbers...

You're already part of the digital world.

The good news?

You don't need to know everything about technology to stay safe.

You just need the confidence to pause, think, and ask questions when something doesn't feel right.

That's what Digital Confidence is all about.

💬 Have you ever heard someone say "I don't use computers, so I don't need to worry"?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

🤔 Yesterday's Tech Trivia...

Question:

What does Wi-Fi actually stand for?

A️ ❌ Wireless Fidelity

B️ ❌ Wireless Internet

C️ ✔️ Nothing! It doesn't officially stand for anything.

🥁 The answer is... C!

Believe it or not, Wi-Fi doesn't officially stand for anything!

Although many people think it means Wireless Fidelity, the name was actually created as a marketing brand because it sounded catchy and was easy to remember.

💡 Fun Fact: Wi-Fi doesn't stand for "wireless internet" either. It simply refers to the wireless networking technology that lets your devices connect without cables.

Did you get it right? 😄
