Something exciting is coming for Disability Club.
We’re preparing for the next stage of Disability Club’s journey, and we’ve now opened our Crowdfunding Waitlist. Over the past four years, Disability Club has grown into a community of around 3,000 members, connecting people with and without disability in an inclusive online space. As we look towards the future, we want to continue growing Disability Club, improving accessibility and developing the platform and community even further. We’re pleased to share a new feature about Disability Club and the journey behind our growing inclusive social media community. 💙

Published by the Institute of Community Directors Australia and written by journalist Nick Place, the article explores how our Founder and CEO, Nathan Johnston, created Disability Club, the growth of our community to 3,000 members, and our vision for the future.

At Disability Club, we believe accessibility should be considered from the beginning when designing technology and digital communities. Our goal is to continue building a platform where people with and without disability can connect, build friendships and be part of an inclusive community.

We’re proud of how far Disability Club has come over the past four years and excited about the next chapter as we continue improving accessibility, developing the platform and growing our community.

🎉 Disability Club has reached 3,000 members! 🎉

We’re incredibly excited to celebrate another major milestone — our community has now grown to more than 3,000 members! 💙

A huge thank you to every person who has joined, connected, shared, posted and helped Disability Club grow.

We also want to thank everyone who has shared feedback with us. We’ve already received valuable feedback around accessibility, the app experience and messaging, and these are important areas we’re looking at as we plan the next stage of Disability Club.

As our community continues to grow, we want our members to have an even bigger voice in shaping what comes next.

What would you like to see from Disability Club in the future? What could we add, improve or do differently?

We’ll also be putting together a community survey soon to give our members another opportunity to have their say.

And there’s more ahead. 🚀
