If you are a good designer, you will protect brand integrity at all costs.

Although this wasn't seen as a mistake, it would have had a negative impact on the brand. It's the equivalent of a barista making someone a bad coffee and that person never going back.

There's so much that goes into branding, moreso the consistency of upholding brand guidelines. When you opt for the generic AI flyers, you throw all of that out the window.

As a brand designer, it is important to not just jump straight into what you think is important.

As excited as you are to get to the drawing board and start to make a brand come to life, you need to understand who you are doing it for. A person with their own story, experience and personality that wants to nail this as much as you do.

It is always so nice to hear what has made someone want to either brand or rebrand their business.

There is always something I learn and apply from the discovery calls to increase the experience, so be more focused on listening to the person on the other end than getting what you feel you need out of them!

Let’s redo a random business instagram! This is purely to showcase the difference it can make to make slight changes to the way your social media presents.

At any given moment someone could be using your socials to make a decision. If they can’t trust you through your socials, they won’t choose you.

A brand designer and an architect aren’t so different 🤷‍♂️

When you really think about it, they’re both designers, problem solvers and play an important role in structure.

Although a house falling on you is a bit more dangerous than a business failing from no strategy…

My point is if you want structure and strategy in your business, it’s worth speaking to a branding expert.

It’s better to build the house properly first rather than have to patch it up constantly into the foreseeable future.

The biggest pro I have found with AI when designing is eliminating guess work.

Any designer will agree that the biggest headache in the whole design process normally happens at the start. Not with anything we do but with clients not knowing what it is that they want.

This then causes us to spend a lot of time researching rather than developing. Don't get me wrong research is important in the brand building process but this is about respecting time in keeping the process brief and concise.

I personally would want to spend more time on the long term strategy, mission and application of a brand rather than the logo so in this AI development, it is giving more time back to both parties.
