The book has arrived! My clever mum .coghill.73 has spent the last few years writing a novel based on her great grandmother from Germany. I had the job of designing and typesetting and my aunty was the editor. Very excited to see it finally in the physical form and enjoy reading it

New logo for .online
Based on original sketches and concept by biepa member, Geoff Ginn, the new logo first evolved as a view of the earth or a finger print. This has grown from the layers of Earth's global atmosphere to the layers of Bribie's environment, including air/sea currents, contours, weather map, birds, fish, soil and shorelines. Also viewed from bottom to top as a landscape with sand meeting ocean, mountains in background as over the pumice stone passage and sky. Colours representing sand/earth, ocean, bushland and sky.

Changing the narrative one year at a time!
Many joined together last Thursday to connect and share in acknowledging country where we are fortunate enough to live, work and play and to celebrate the legacy of of it's earliest inhabitants the Joondoburri people, and to honour all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people on this commemoration day.

The launch of new Joondoburri and Kabi Kabi language sign and book 'the Joondoburri walk' was also part of the event. I had the privilege to work on the design for both, a project initiated by the Bribie Island community kindy. The signage incorporates artwork by artist Melinda Serico. The book includes illustrations and stories from PIEEC Elders and jarjums. The cover illustration by talented high school student Nicole Gulwell.
