Over 16 billion (not a typo) login credentials have been leaked online, affecting big platforms like Apple, Google, Facebook and more.

This isn’t a single hack. It’s a mass compilation of exposed data from malware, phishing, and past data breaches now circulating publicly.

As we've said before, passwords alone are not enough. 🔐 Two-factor (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA) is crucial for protecting your online accounts.

News story:

Billions of login credentials have been leaked and compiled into datasets online, giving criminals "unprecedented access" to accounts, according to new research.

As residents prepare for cyclone Alfred, cyber criminals are also preparing to scam Australians when they're more vulnerable. Be on the lookout for fake emergency relief emails, malicious links in unsolicited emails, and/or urgent fund transfer requests. Scammers use chaos as cover. Be vigilant. Think before you click.

A domain name is an important piece of 'digital real estate' for any business. If you haven't already, it's worth securing a .au for your business now rather than later.

This new, shorter domain extension (.au) is a good step forward, but it does consequentially open the door for more impersonation attacks - if businesses fail to secure their respective .au domain name.

World Password Day reminds us how important it is to protect our accounts through strong passwords.

If you have multiple accounts, a password manager can help control them for you. It can also create secure, long, and randomly generated passwords. The longer and more random, the better.
