I used the Pack Dog to carry this gear to the beach. Setup a Delta Loop using the MDC Dingo mount, MDC 4:1 UNUN, and the Tiny Dog coils.

It is great to see hams building their own coils and putting them to use. There is a DIY video on the “Mad Dogs Ham Radio” YouTube channel to provide a video tutorial on building a Mad Dog Coil.

I’ve been enjoying using a Delta Loop antenna for the last few POTA activations. A Delta Loop close to the ground does give decent NVIS performance on 40 meters as well as a good DX angle radiation patern for the higher HF bands.

I just completed a batch of Robo Dog’s ready for sale. These remote antenna switches are designed to work with the Remote TX transceiver control service (remotetx.net)

There is a new feature for those using node red or who would like to use node red where you can install a push button switch and mount on the case then you can switch the relays at the device rather than using the web interface.

The Dingo mount provides a 100 degree V-dipole antenna mount and also a vertical antenna mount, each with a seperate feed point. The vertical mount can handle a 25 ft telescopic whip and the dipole two 17 ft whips. The video also shows Mad Dog Coils being used in V-dipole configuration.
