Camembert is a fairly dull yellowy-cream colour which isn’t terrible appetising, so I focused on the oozy, runny texture and added some contrasting fruit on a strong blue coloured plate, to lift the illustration.

Sourdough Bread. The aim of good bread making is to get a ‘good crumb’. Unfortunately this is hard to represent as an illustration. So I’ve added butter and a knife as a ‘prop ‘ to tell more of the story.
