Apparently after enough time out in public, “g’day mate” stops being a greeting and becomes a full-body performance 🤠

No idea why I curtsied and like, I don’t even say “g’day” in real life. Did all day at AgQuip though - absolutely committed to the cause. Or just 10/10 awkward 🤓

Proof that I am, in fact, just an awkward little nerd surrounded by elegant, graceful clients…

Anyone would be forgiven for thinking I’d be great in front of the camera given the content I create for clients (including myself)… Especially when I was the one who found the trend and convinced The Clinic by Nurse Georgie | Cosmetic RN & Skin Gunnedah to film it with me.

I literally had ONE job: close the laptop.

Georgie absolutely nailed her part every 👏 single 👏 time.

Me? Well… this reel tells otherwise 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

We got there eventually… thanks almost entirely to Georgie.

The actual reel is coming next week 👀

Please don’t mishear me - I completely understand the lure of AI generated graphics as a small business, especially in this economy (financially and because every Tom, D & Harry is telling you AI is king). But I am TELLING you, people would prefer you took a sharpie to a piece of cardboard for your marketing if budget is the problem.

In fact, if you ARE using AI generated flyers etc - please message me and I’ll give you other ideas to help get the message across!

And as always, if you do have the budget, investing in customised, professionally designed collateral would be the route I would recommend ✌️

I’ve never really chased follower counts.

In fact, I’ve joked for years that I’m the designer with neglected socials. 😅

Building client brands has always come before building my own.

But over the last little while, something has shifted.

Raw Confetti has grown because of conversations. Because of shared ideas. Because of people who genuinely care about small business and building brands that actually mean something.

So seeing this little number creep towards 1,000 feels… really special.

Not because it’s 1,000.

Because I know so many of you are real people I’ve met along the way. Clients. Fellow business owners. Friends. People who have quietly followed this journey from freelancer to studio.

That’s something I don’t take lightly.

If you’ve been here for a week or for years - thank you.

There’s something about a full day (or two) of filming content that completely wipes me out.

Don’t get me wrong - of course I love it. Im 100% where I want to be!

But after two days of directing 20 people, filming, brainstorming, explaining, prompting, hyping everyone up and making sure we got all the content…

I have approximately ✨three words✨ left in me.

The irony?

I now have zero energy to create my own content 🥲
