This week I had the pleasure of returning to Kapunda High School for Australian Business Week (ABW), starting the week as a mentor and returning today as part of the judging panel for the Year 11 students.

At the beginning of the week, I spent some time with the teams helping them think about how to build a brand for their business, looking beyond just a logo and considering how their brand could carry through their marketing, collateral, presentations and trade stalls.

It was then a privilege to return today as a judge and see how each team had brought their ideas and businesses to life. There was so much creativity, enthusiasm and hard work on display, and it was fantastic to see the students step up and present their businesses with such confidence.

Well done to all of the students, and to the teachers and everyone involved in making ABW such a valuable and action-packed week.

A lovely bonus this year was also getting to see the newly refurbished Eringa and having a tour of the new spaces. It’s fantastic to see the school looking so bright, fresh and full of possibilities.

Thank you for having me involved again. I always love seeing what the students come up with! ☺️

BRAND IN FOCUS : THE VINE METHOD

A beautiful local brand I had the pleasure of bringing to life.

When Georgia came to me, she had created a skincare brand built around professional care, education and intentional daily rituals.

The goal was to develop a visual identity that felt calm, confident and authentic, one that reflected the quality of her products and the thoughtful approach behind the brand.

From the logo, typography, colour palette through to packaging, supporting graphics and social media assets, every element was carefully considered to create a consistent and recognisable brand experience.

The result is a skincare brand that feels refined, natural and completely aligned with Georgia’s vision.

It’s always rewarding to see a brand continue to grow beyond the design process and become something truly meaningful. The result is a skincare brand that feels refined, natural and completely aligned with Georgia’s vision.

A few first captures with the new Fujifilm X-T5 📷

Still learning. Still experimenting. Still figuring out what this amazing little camera can do.

I love how photography makes you slow down and notice things differently - light on old buildings, interesting textures, colours in the landscape, little details you’d normally walk straight past.

I can already see it becoming part of my creative process - capturing inspiration, places, projects and the world around me.

Anyway… here are a few moments from this arvo - looking forward to sharing more ✨

A new tool for seeing the world a little differently.

Meet my new Fujifilm X-T5 📷

I’ve always loved photography - using it to capture moments in time and as a way of noticing things. Colour, texture, light, moments and details you don’t normally see on first glance.

These first few shots from this afternoon are far from perfect… but that’s kind of the point. I’m excited to learn, experiment, observe more closely and keep developing my style along the way.

I can already tell this little camera is going to become a big part of my creative process.

Looking forward to sharing more of the places, colours, textures and little moments that catch my eye along the way ✨

A trig point has always represented a new perspective for me.

A place to gain a clear view of the landscape around you.

Growing up, these points were markers across the land. You could see them from kilometres away, and when you spotted that familiar point on the horizon, you always knew where you were. They helped you understand your place in relation to everything around you.

And in many ways, that’s exactly what I offer through Fossick Design.

Sometimes when you’re deep in the day-to-day running of a business, it can be difficult to step back and see the bigger picture clearly - your strengths, your story, your opportunities, or even what already exists that could be reshaped into something new.

I love bringing a fresh creative perspective to rural and regional businesses, uncovering what’s already there and finding thoughtful ways to evolve your brand into something strategic, distinctive, and deeply connected.

Good branding isn’t always about creating something new for the sake of it. Sometimes it’s about recognising the value in what already exists, and presenting it in a more considered, intentional way.

Often, the biggest shift comes from simply gaining a new perspective.

The Central Hotel Riverton

The recently completed visual identity was developed with Peta and Troy through strategy and collaboration, creating a refreshed brand that balances the hotel’s history with a new chapter under fresh management.

At the centre of the brand is a distinctive TCH monogram, where the letters interlock to form a dynamic and versatile logo. This mark forms the foundation for a cohesive visual system carried across a wide range of applications - from signage and uniforms to menus, promotional material and social media.

The result is a modern identity that honours the hotel’s heritage while positioning it as a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors.

Looking forward to checking out The Central Riverton soon 🙌

Back to work and feeling sun-soaked, inspired and ready for 2026 ☀️

After spending the last few weeks exploring some incredible places along South Australia’s coastline 👉 Port Hughes → Lipson Cove → September Beach → Port Lincoln → Coffin Bay 🌊
I’m back behind the Mac with a fresh perspective and ready to go 🤘

Excited for a year of strategic brand building, creative problem-solving and working with regional, rural and artisan businesses who are doing brilliant things in their corners of Australia 💚

Let’s make 2026 a big one 🙌
