If you're using Microsoft Access and you suddenly see errors like:

"No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time"
(or on Windows 11: "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use right now")

It might not actually be an "Access problem".

I recently helped a client where the real cause was the PC hosting the Access back-end file. When a Windows 10/11 workstation is used as a "server", built-in connection limits can be reached quickly - even with a small team.

Common signs include:

lock files (*.laccdb) that won't delete

random cases where the database won't open

Get More Useful Information Out of Your Business Software

In my experience over the last 13 years as a database consultant and application designer, I have come across many businesses which are operating proprietary software systems. Often, these systems, while they work, are not particularly flexible.

What your business gains from a custom built report from Key to I.T.:

1. Availability - Information that is not available on existing reports becomes available.
2. Analysis - Being able to summarise data in different ways is an important analysis tool for managing a business.
3. Sorting/Grouping - Having each piece of data in it's own column is necessary for sorting, grouping and totalling.
4. Layout - Colour makes a big difference in visibility of information. It also makes it presentable to customers/management if required.
