If you're using Microsoft Access and you suddenly see errors like:
"No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time"
(or on Windows 11: "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use right now")
It might not actually be an "Access problem".
I recently helped a client where the real cause was the PC hosting the Access back-end file. When a Windows 10/11 workstation is used as a "server", built-in connection limits can be reached quickly - even with a small team.
Common signs include:
lock files (*.laccdb) that won't delete
random cases where the database won't open
I've written up the root cause and practical options to fix it here:

If you're dealing with this and you're not sure whether it's the database, the network, or the hosting setup, send me a message and I'll help you work out the best path forward.
