Came home from a break only to find your NBN box stuck on a single power light? 🔌

Here’s a quick case study from a recent job on Atkinson St, Oakleigh:

❌ Problem: NBN HFC unit powering on with a single light—no online or link activity after being switched off for months.

🔍 Cause: When an NBN box stays offline for an extended period, NBN’s network inventory system can drop its MAC address registration.

✅ Fix: Located the MAC address on the bottom of the NTU, contacted the ISP to re-link it to the active property account, and had the client back online in minutes!

💡 Tech Tip: Before replacing cables or buying a new router, make sure your NBN box is actually registered on your provider's backend!
