About Us: Watts Design, an award-winning branding agency located in South Melbourne, Australia, has been crafting distinctive brands for over 35 years. We pride ourselves on strategic thinking and a thoughtful approach to design.

Who We’re Looking For: Are you a curious, passionate, and motivated graphic designer with at least 3-5 years of industry experience? If you enjoy a fast-paced, friendly team environment and possess a solid work ethic, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn, you might be the perfect fit for our South Melbourne team.

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of design studio or relevant design experience
• Proficiency in brand, packaging, print, social media, and digital design
• Strong skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator); knowledge of Figma is a bonus
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow art direction
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
• Adeptness at both team collaboration and independent work
• Positive, ‘glass half full’ attitude

A Typical Day: As a member of our team, your day will be dynamic and diverse. You’ll work on various tasks such as packaging design, publication and layout design, developing brand assets from style guides, ad campaign rollouts, social media management, website and digital design, and more. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of our social media, website, email marketing, and internal promotions. Collaboration with the team to brainstorm design concepts and ideas is also a key part of your role.

A Look Inside the Barry Plant Logo.

When crafting the Barry Plant logo, the goal was to create a modern but unique look that would propel the brand into the future. However, a clever design choice ensured that the established door symbol, a cornerstone of Barry Plant's identity, remained a central element.

This wasn't just any door symbol. It cleverly emerged from the negative space within the 'A' of the lettering. This powerful design choice transformed the 'A' into a metaphor for 'opening doors,' perfectly encapsulating Barry Plant's mission of facilitating life transitions, igniting dreams, and empowering communities.

How do you craft a brand for an nursery that nurtures indigenous horticulture? By sowing the seeds for a better tomorrow.

Far north Queensland is the birthplace of a unique nursery that serves as a bridge between tradition and progress, nature and business. Wabu Jananyu nurtures the dreams of aspiring horticulturalists and the future custodians of our land. We designed a brand identity that respected the texture of the land and the rugged landscapes. In collaboration with Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre, we have intertwined a traditional Bagu artwork from local artist Nephi Denham, a Girramay Traditional Owner of the North Murray Area.
