I built White Ink Creative during nap times. Now I design my own schedule.
In 2019 I walked away from corporate design and started White Ink Creative when my son was 6 months old — during the season of my life when I had the least time, the least certainty, and somehow the most clarity about what I actually wanted.
I was exhausted. I had a baby who didn't sleep. I was trying to figure out who I was outside of a job title, outside of an office, outside of the version of myself I'd been building for years.
And in the middle of all of that, I opened my computer during a nap and started building something.
Not because I had it all figured out. Because I needed something that was mine.
I wanted work that lit me up. A studio that stayed small on purpose. Clients I genuinely loved. A business that fit around my life — not one that consumed it.
It didn't happen overnight. There were years of figuring out pricing, of saying yes to the wrong clients, setbacks, of showing up online and wondering if anyone was actually listening. Of having a brand that didn't quite match where I was going.
But I kept refining. And somewhere along the way, things shifted.
Now I take 8–10 clients a year. I'm always the person you work with. I finish at 3pm to pick up my kids. I work with women whose businesses genuinely excite me. And I charge what my work is worth — without apologising for it.
That shift didn't come from working harder. It came from building a brand that did the work for me. One that communicated my value before I even got on a call. That attracted the right people and quietly filtered out the wrong ones.
That's what I build inside The Brand Design Experience — for women who are ready for that same shift in their own business.
