I decided to embrace this wonky jug's unbalanced shape by painting it in Dazzle Camouflage, with one stripe emerging as one of my Sock Foxes.
Dazzle Camouflage was conceived by British artist and Naval officer Norman Wilkinson in 1917 and used in WWI to distort perception in naval warfare. It has, and continues to be, an inspiration.

Not sure if i should glaze the clay white in between the blue strips or leave it raw. Let me know what you think

Judges Comments: A young footballer stands in the foreground holding a football with the familiarity of a seasoned player. Alone under the lights of the footy field the foreboding sky in the background, is she waiting for others, or have they left? Painted on what seems to be a remnant +of a swag or tent.

I have been finding our more about these lizards and their courtship. After digging a neighbouring burrow, the male initiates a gradual ritualisation that culminates in the pair sharing a single home.

I actually made the Tenmoku Tomato Red glaze used on the bottom half of these cups. I found the recipe online and am quite happy with the way it blends with the white.
