Microsoft ends service for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. You can pay for updates, switch OS to something like ChromeOS or buy a new Windows 11 PC.

Or, skip Windows 11 and wait for the anticipated release of Windows 12 which is due sometime this year. I'd like to help you setup your next PC and migrate your files and data.

Passwords are hard to remember, right? You know you should use a different and complex password for each account, but how do you remember your logins?

Never save your passwords in a Word or Excel document. Use a password manager to securely store and encrypt your account details.

Password managers keep your credentials safe and accessible across your devices like computers, tablets and smartphones. You should choose passphrases which are easier to remember or use the password managers suggested password. A passphrase example is 'keepmypaSSwordSSafe001*'

Try a free vault like KeePass and save the vault to your Google Drive https://keepass.info/.

Or for a small monthly fee individuals, families and businesses can subscribe to hosted services like LastPass and 1Password.

After 10 years, Microsoft will officially end support for its most popular operating system in 14 October 2025. Windows 10 version 22H2 will be the last Windows 10 version. Windows will still work after the end date but software updates, including security will cease.

Do you need help with choosing your best option?

Option 1: Ignore the end-of-support deadline completely - dangerous with an increased security risk

Option 2: Buy a new PC - if your PC is quite old, this might be a viable option

Option 3: Ditch Windows completely - you've probably invested time to learn Windows and install compatible software
