Thinking about adding video to your website? It doesn’t have to be complicated, and yes, it’s worth it.

A short, helpful video can completely change how people experience your site. It keeps them on the page longer, makes it easier to explain what you do, and gives Google more reason to show you in search results.

You don’t need a big production team to make it work. Just start with one video that answers a real question or helps someone understand your service.

It could be a simple intro on your homepage (just not in the header), a quick walkthrough of what it’s like to work with you, or a clear answer to something you’re always explaining to clients.

Keep it short. Add captions. Upload it to YouTube too, so you’re visible in both places.

The easiest way in for most of these? Old, neglected websites.

Think of your website like a car. It needs the occasional service, a bit of maintenance, and maybe the digital equivalent of a vacuum and air freshener.

So if it’s been a while, here are three things to look at today:

🔍 Check for the padlock.
When you visit your website, do you see a little padlock next to the URL? That means the site is secure (and trusted by browsers). If it’s missing, that’s a red flag.

🔍 Update your software + plugins.
Outdated systems are one of the most common ways hackers get in. Keep things current and clean.

🔍 Make sure you’ve got a backup — stored somewhere off your host.
If your site ever crashes or gets compromised, this is what saves you from losing everything.

Whether it’s your website, a blog, a newsletter or even an ad - the headline is what decides if someone keeps reading… or keeps scrolling.

If you want to write stronger headlines that actually get clicked, here are a few tips to start with:

1️⃣ Spend more time on it.
Your headline isn’t just a label - it’s doing the heavy lifting. Give it as much thought as the rest of your content combined.

2️⃣ Speak to what your reader actually cares about.
Use words they would say. Speak to the problem they’re trying to solve. And avoid clever puns that only make sense in your head.

3️⃣ Be clear about the value.
Ask yourself: what’s in it for the reader? What will they learn, feel, or gain if they keep reading? If that’s not obvious from the headline, keep going.
