Always remember to: Stop, Reflect & Protect

Keeping these 3 simple steps top of mind could help prevent you from being a statistic.

1. Stop

Before sharing details or money, take a breath to assess if you really know or trust who's asking.

2. Reflect

Ask yourself: 'Could this person, message or ad be fake?'

3. Protect

Don't wait to act if things seem fishy - place your card on hold in the an app and contact your bank if you notice unusual activity on your account.

Apple has one of the most secure systems in the world, but even the tech giant knows no software is completely unbreakable. That’s why Apple offers a bug bounty program that pays security researchers up to $1 million for uncovering serious vulnerabilities.

The reward is specifically for hackers who can expose flaws in Apple’s operating systems or servers that could compromise users. Instead of exploiting weaknesses, ethical hackers are encouraged to report them directly to Apple for payment.

This makes Apple’s program one of the highest payouts in the industry, reflecting how much the company values cybersecurity. It’s not an invitation to break laws, but a way to keep Apple devices among the safest in the world.

Anyone who has owned an Apple device since 2014 could become eligible for compensation from a $95 million class action lawsuit accusing the tech giant of recording users' private conversations through unintended Siri activations.

The lawsuit, filed in 2021, claims that Apple allegedly captured and shared confidential information from Siri-enabled devices without user consent, though Apple denies these allegations and says the data was used to improve Siri.

Eligible individuals can claim up to $100 for five devices by submitting a claim online by July 2, 2025, with payments expected after the settlement hearing scheduled for August 1.
