A personal project of mine. The $30 box that saves over $520 every year.

With the rising cost of living, I thought why not utilise energy sources we already have for other purposes? I mean, I already have some 12v batteries, a few solar panels for camping and a 240v inverter..

Some may already know that I have been trialing using batteries to power my office.. and yep.. and it works great!

Currently I am seeing savings of around 3.5kw per day, and I hope to push this to around DOUBLE that in the weeks to come. $520 a year back in my pocket? Yes please!

The only problem is the not so sunny days. Here’s where this little creation comes in.

If the battery drops below 10%, this device powers up the 40 amp wall charger and will bring it back up to around 20% charge, and bypass the 240v UPS inverter while it charges - this will keep everything up and running until the sun comes back!

And for preparing for the occasional camping trip or power outage, just flick the switch from auto to manual and it will charge it all the way up to 100%. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
