The WA Education Summit opened up important conversations around AI, digital safety, cyber security, leadership, and school technology planning.

Now the question is: which conversations should continue inside your school?

A few worth taking back to your team:
- Is there a clear, shared approach to how AI should be used by staff and students?
- Are your current tools, policies, and conversations keeping pace with digital safety risks?
- Do you know where your school’s biggest cyber risks are, and what needs attention first?
- Are your technology decisions part of a long-term plan, or mostly driven by urgent needs and replacement cycles?

Solutions IT works with schools across procurement, support, strategy, and protection, helping teams make practical technology decisions that fit their environment, priorities, and budget.

The WA Education Summit opened up important conversations around AI, leadership, teaching, learning, and digital risk in schools.

Now, the next step is turning those conversations into a practical plan.

The AI Leadership Masterclass is a structured professional learning program for WA schools, beginning with a face-to-face preview in Perth on 27 August, followed by guided online and in-person sessions across Term 3 and Term 4.

Led by Dr. Leon Furze and Paul Reid from Next Learning, in partnership with Solutions IT, the program helps school leadership teams build a clear AI playbook across policy, governance, risk, classroom use, assessment, and whole-school implementation.

Places are limited to only 15 WA schools, with up to five participants per school.

The Summit started the conversation. This program helps your school build the plan.

There’s still time to join us at the WA Education Summit 2026!

Across schools, the questions are becoming harder to avoid.
- How do we respond to AI in a way that is useful, safe, and workable?
- How do we protect students, staff, systems, and data?
- How do we support teachers while expectations keep shifting?
- How do leadership, teaching, and IT teams make clearer decisions together?

The Summit brings these conversations into one room for a practical day at Optus Stadium.

With streams for Leadership & Governance, Teaching & Learning, and IT Management, the program is designed for the people shaping school decisions from different angles.

Registrations close Friday, 24 July.

Behind every digital school is an IT team managing a growing list of risks, expectations, and decisions.

AI readiness, cybersecurity, data privacy, device management, infrastructure, and user support are all becoming more complex. At the same time, schools need technology to feel seamless for staff, students, and families.

The IT Management stream at the WA Education Summit 2026 is designed for the people responsible for keeping school technology secure, reliable, and ready for what comes next.

Across this stream, attendees will hear from:
- Tamjid Aijazi, on the infrastructure and strategy needed to support AI in schools
- Brennan Godfrey and Patrick Lawrence, on cybersecurity, risk, and practical protection for school environments
- Adam Saul, on secure device management and supporting technology at scale

This stream gives IT leaders space to step back from day-to-day troubleshooting and focus on the bigger questions: what needs strengthening, what needs simplifying, and what needs to be planned now?
