As a freelance analyst, I know that getting started can be tough, especially when you don't have a lot of experience. That's why I always recommend that new freelancers focus on building their portfolio with projects that showcase their expertise.

When I first started, I knew that I needed to demonstrate my skills and experience to potential clients. That's why I focused on creating a few portfolio projects that highlighted my abilities. These projects not only helped me build my skills, but they also allowed me to show potential clients what I was capable of.

Having a strong portfolio is absolutely crucial for new freelancers. It shows that you have the skills and expertise to get the job done. Plus, it gives potential clients a chance to see your work and determine if you're the right fit for their project.

So if you're just starting out as a freelancer, my advice is to focus on building your portfolio. Find projects that interest you and showcase your skills. One of the best ways to do that is by getting feedback from those who have worked with me.

Not only do client reviews help me improve, but they also serve as a great way to showcase my skills and build my reputation on platforms like Upwork. By asking for reviews before a contract ends, I can ensure that my clients have a positive experience and are more likely to leave a positive review.

Here is an example request,
"So, if you're working with me and are satisfied with my work, I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a review after our contract ends. Your feedback will not only help me improve but will also help others looking for top-notch analytical services. Thank you!"

As a freelancer on Upwork, becoming a Top Rated freelancer is a highly coveted achievement. To be eligible for Top Rated status, freelancers must meet the following criteria:

Job Success Score: This is a score out of 100 that reflects a freelancer's track record of satisfied clients. A freelancer must maintain a score of 90% or higher over at least 13/16 weeks.

Earnings: Freelancers must have earned a minimum of $1,000 in the previous 12 months.

Active Profile: Freelancers must have a complete, up-to-date profile, including a professional headshot, overview, and work history.

If a freelancer meets all of these criteria, they become eligible for Top Rated status. Being a Top Rated freelancer comes with several perks, such as access to premium support, exclusive job invites, and a badge that shows clients you're among the best on Upwork.

In my 4 months of starting Upwork as a side hussle, I'm thrilled to share that I'm on my way to becoming a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork! I've completed 9 out of the required 13 weeks of maintaining a Job Success Score of 100% and I couldn't be more excited to reach this milestone.

Having a high Job Success Score is incredibly important for freelancers because it demonstrates to clients that you're reliable, skilled, and professional. It's a testament to the quality of work that I provide and the strong relationships I've built with my clients.

Hey there everyone! Recently I started getting invited to submit proposals on Upwork. So, I thought I'd share my story with you all!

When I first started on Upwork, I found it challenging to get invited to submit proposals. I would spend hours browsing for jobs and submitting proposals, but rarely received any responses. But then I realized that there was a simple solution - I needed to improve my job success rate.

You see, clients on Upwork are looking for freelancers they can trust and rely on to deliver high-quality work. And the best way to demonstrate that trustworthiness is by maintaining a high job success rate. This rate is a measure of the percentage of completed jobs with positive outcomes, such as earning a 5-star rating, getting paid on time, and receiving positive feedback.

So, I began to focus on delivering top-notch work and communicating effectively with my clients. I made sure to understand their needs and requirements and delivered work that exceeded their expectations. And as a result, my job success rate began to improve.

As my job success rate increased, I started receiving more and more invites to submit proposals. Clients would reach out to me directly, impressed with my work and wanting to hire me for their projects. It was a game-changer for me, and I'm so glad I put in the effort to improve my job success rate.

So, my advice to all of you freelancers out there is this - focus on delivering excellent work, communicating effectively, and maintaining a high job success rate. You'll find that the invitations to submit proposals will start flooding in!

Clients appreciate consistency and reliability, and if you're always available and responsive on one platform, they're more likely to come back to you for future projects.
