Position: Backend Developer Intern
Employment Type: Internship (Part-Time)

Weekly Commitment: 15–18 Hours
➜ Role Summary:
We are looking for a Backend Developer Intern to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate can independently build and maintain backend services, integrate third-party APIs, and collaborate within a team. A formal degree is not required; demonstrated technical ability is what matters.
➜ Responsibilities:
◦ Build and maintain RESTful API endpoints
◦ Integrate third-party APIs and handle webhook-based event flows
◦ Write server-side logic in Node.js or Python
◦ Manage and query SQL and NoSQL databases
◦ Work within a Docker-based development environment
◦ Test and validate APIs, and ensure clean integration with the frontend
➜ Required Skills
◦ Backend: Node.js (Express / Fastify) or Python (FastAPI / Flask) — ability to build and run servers independently
◦ REST APIs: Solid understanding of API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth 2.0), and error handling
◦ Webhooks: Setting up, verifying, and handling webhook events from third-party platforms
◦ API Testing: Postman or equivalent; capable of end-to-end validation with a basic frontend (React, Next.js, or plain HTML)
◦ Databases: SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB / Redis) — queries, schema design, basic optimization
◦ Docker: Able to work within an existing Docker / Docker Compose setup
◦ Git: Branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows via GitHub or GitLab
➜ Preferred Qualifications
◦ Ability to learn new technologies rapidly, work with technical documentation, and implement integrations independently
◦ Basic Bash scripting for automation and scheduling
◦ GitHub Actions for CI/CD
◦ Agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Codex) — able to write structured prompts to guide LLMs toward functional, production-ready output
