This is the end… 🖤
Exactly a year ago, i left my life in Belgium and arrived at the Bushwise Mahlahla Campus. I knew my dream to do a Field Guide course in South Africa would change me, but i had no idea how much it would change, especialy me as a person.
12 months later, time flew by so quickly, and looking back i can finally say out loud, i finished the course and i’m officially a qualified field guide! 💪🏼
Besides a lot of highs, there were a lot of lows and tough moments like late night studying, pushing ourselves through intense trials courses, including primitive trails and putting everything into my 6 months internship. Waking up at 4.30 in the freezing cold, every tough lecture, and every time the trainers pushed us past our comfort zones, made me into a new person i am today. 🥹
There were moments of giving up, lots of tears, failures but most of all the best laughters that made the little things possible again. It feels like i’ve been living a whole lifetime in just one year, which makes walking away from this place and these beautiful people i’ve met completely heartbreaking. 💔
To every single trainer, mentor, student and friend who walked this path with me, thank you 🌟. Thanks again to Bushwise, for trusting me not just in the field, but also to represent you as a Marketing Assistent during my internship. Thanks for all the support and believing in us and our dreams.
Since i was little and even before i ever stepped foot in this continent, i knew deep inside that this is the path i had to follow and i would do it over and over again. Standing here now, makes me realise i’m closer than i have ever been to the life i always wanted.
To anyone thinking about chasing their dreams: do it. Trust me, you only live once! ✨
This may be the end of this chapter… but it’s only the beginning.
