I've been quietly building something for the whole region, and today it's live.

It's called the Kootenay List (kootenaylist.ca): 5,635 businesses across the Kootenays, searchable instantly, free for everyone. It's the biggest project I've ever taken on, and it belongs to the region now.

Why build it? I live here, I wanted the whole region in one place, and honestly it was a blast to build. Every time someone asks a Facebook group "anyone know a good plumber?", that's a search that should take two seconds. Now it does.

The rules are simple. Every listing shows when it was last checked. Stale listings come off the list. And there's no paid placement, ever, because a paid list is never complete: it only shows you who paid, not who's best.

If you run a business anywhere in the Kootenays, go claim your listing. It's free and it stays free.
