A reminder that not all simulators are created equal.

Found this Formula1-style simulator at Planet Hollywood in Cancun during a recent trip. From a distance it looks incredible. A full F1 car body and a setup that immediately draws people in.

But it also highlights an important distinction in the sim racing world.

There’s a big difference between arcade-style attractions and high-end racing simulators.

Arcade units are designed for durability and quick entertainment. High-end simulators are built around real driving feel: proper force feedback, realistic pedal resistance, and hardware that communicates what the car is doing.

Because when a simulator is done right, it doesn’t just look like a race car.

It feels like one.
