Just a reminder that in Ottawa, Dirty Rectangles takes every August off from Show n' Chills. So no meetup this month.
But you should still find the time to stop by and support the excellent Avant-Garde Bar, on Wednesday or any day!

However, if you are in Toronto... there's a Rectangles Park Hangout on the 17th at Noon, at Christie Pits Park!

Hey everyone - sorry for the short notice, but we're going to have to cancel Ottawa Rectangles this month.
This heat wave is coming in pretty harsh and it's only supposed to get 5-10 degrees cooler at night, not a great environment for crowding into a room with a bunch of tech. We'll be back at it again next month, please stay safe and stay cool!
Also, please let anyone know who you think may not see this post or our tweet.

It is 2024 and there is time for games!
Dirty Rectangles Ottawa is back at it in the new year for our first '24 Show And Chill, still on the third Wednesday of every month at Avant-Garde Bar at 135 Besserer, Ottawa, Ontario, etc.
Game devs and creators, swing by and show us what you're working on, what you're thinking about, what game-dev-related nonsense you got up to over the holidays, or just show out to support yr local scene.

As is tradition, we're taking the month off from Dirty Rectangles, because, you know, all of the things happening. Both Ottawa and Toronto.
Please take it easy this month, and please do continue to support and visit our hosts Avant-Garde Bar (OTT) and See-Scape (TOR) while we're out!

Short notice is better than no notice, so this join us on WEDNESDAY SEPT 20th, @ AVANT GARDE BAR, 8PM.

Please come along, show us what you're working on (finished or unfinished, broken or unbroken), grouse about Unity, come be reminded we're all still out here and so are you.

ALSO - We're all scattered to the winds across all social media, and setting up meetups is an eternal challenge, as you can tell. We're trying to figure out the best way to reach folks, and consensus seems to be maybe a mailing list?

Let us know if that'd work for you, or if you've got any other suggestions for what might work better!

It's been a minute. Dirty Rectangles took a much-needed break, waited for things to even out a bit. We're starting up again slowly, but we've got big plans.
For now, whether you're in Ottawa or Toronto, if you've got nothing on tomorrow (Wed Apr 26, 8PM), stop by yr local Rectangles venue and catch up. We know it's short notice; if you can't make it, you'll see us again very soon.
Call it a soft launch. Call it whatever. Just don't call it a comeback. You know how the song goes.
