This came out of an Xbox Series S. 😬

The owner brought it in because it sounded like a jet engine and kept shutting down mid-game. That brown mat in the middle photo isn't padding — it's three years of dust packed solid against the exhaust, and the thermal paste on the chip had dried out and cracked apart.

Stripped it right down, cleaned every vent and fin, and re-pasted the APU with Arctic MX-4. Runs quiet and cool again — no new console needed.

One of the most common reasons a computer slows down is having too many programs starting up automatically when you turn it on.
