Today we hosted our Sask Polytech CST student project team in our Experience Room so they could demo their build progress and prioritize the user stories for their next code release in December. This is our second time working with faculty and student groups to support their curriculum outcomes (leading and building a project with a real-world client) and we are so grateful for this kind of opportunity for many reasons, including the chance to be involved in how the up-and-coming developers in our community are being shaped and to build something awesome (and useful!) together! This year is extra special as we are building something we’ve wanted at zu for over 10 years. Stay tuned to see what it becomes!

Shoutout to our crew of students (Cole, Samuel, Preston, Matthew, Damien, Dustin, Gavin, Riley and Garrett) who have already found ways to impress us with their wit, professionalism, skills and attention to detail.

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day exists because Survivors spoke, and kept speaking. Our role is to listen and act, not to speak for them. We are grateful for our indigenous partnerships and remain committed to listening and learning.

Yesterday we were proud to host the Sandbox Claims team for a day of exploring, design thinking, innovation and ideating.

While this isn’t a traditional workshop, it uses familiar exercises led by our strategists to move the Sandbox team through a real business challenge, while zu designers and developers use AI enabled tools to accelerate iteration and help turn ideas into a tangible, interactive proof of concept.

Thanks to the Sandbox Mutual Insurance crew for continuing to let us experiment with new ways to work while still supporting your growth and innovation goals!
