A 68% increase in reported defects is not a setback. It is what happens when drivers are trained to spot what others miss. IRIS VR simulation sharpens inspection skills by placing drivers in realistic, hands-on scenarios where attention to detail matters. While the control group saw a 6% decline, trained drivers identified more issues because they knew exactly what to look for. Safety managers gain clear visibility into performance with detailed data and reporting, making it easier to focus coaching where it counts. Better inspections, stronger awareness, and drivers who are prepared before problems become risks.

Vehicle only out of service rates were cut in half after VR based driver training.

That result did not come from new equipment or tighter enforcement. It came from changing how drivers practice inspections and driving decisions before those moments happen on the road.

By placing drivers in realistic inspection and driving scenarios, and allowing them to practice under pressure, training shifted behavior from reactive to proactive. Drivers became more consistent in identifying mechanical issues earlier and more deliberate in how they managed risk behind the wheel.

When training reflects real world conditions, compliance improves where it matters most: at roadside inspections, during audits, and in day to day operations.

Many fleets face the same challenge: drivers who have their air brake endorsement but do not perform inspections often enough to stay fully confident. Skills fade, small mistakes creep in, and critical steps get missed. It only takes one incomplete inspection to create real risk, including poor inspection results, unexpected roadside issues, or in the worst cases, a preventable mechanical failure.

iBRX was built to close that gap. It is a hands-on interactive training tool based on the Ontario Air Brake (Z) Endorsement course. Drivers can learn and practice every essential step including checking air pressure, measuring pushrod stroke, and completing system safety checks at their own pace and without the need of live equipment.

Because iBRX runs on a laptop, it is easy to use during downtime and simple for companies to administer. At only 49.99 on the Microsoft Store, it is one of the lowest cost ways to reinforce safety, reduce inspection errors, and build real confidence before hands-on practice.

A small investment in training can prevent major problems on the road. Give your drivers a safe, repeatable way to stay sharp. Download iBRX today.

Every winter, municipalities face the same challenge: visibility issues and tight operating space lead to costly collisions. A single side-blade strike can take a truck out of service, trigger an insurance claim, and slow down route coverage when it matters most. Repairs are expensive, and repeated incidents can drive premiums even higher.

Most of these collisions happen during the learning phase. New operators often struggle to understand the true reach of the plow, especially the side blade. Poor conditions, hidden obstacles, and pressure to perform only increase the risk.

Our simulator changes the way operators build those skills. The student camera gives a clear view of the blade’s position, helping trainees develop accurate spatial awareness without putting equipment or property at risk. With the integrated Rexroth joystick and realistic winter scenarios, operators can practice high-risk maneuvers in a controlled environment and reach competency faster.

Along with the simulator, we provide a full training system that guides operators through structured lessons, measures performance, and documents progress. This helps municipalities standardize their approach, reduce variability, and demonstrate clear risk-reduction efforts.

The result is fewer equipment repairs, fewer claims, and a safer season for both operators and the community.

Giving drivers real experience without taking trucks off the road is one of the biggest challenges in training. With the IRIS platform, fleets can deliver consistent, high-quality training that builds skills, judgment, and confidence in a safe virtual environment.

Drivers can practice high-stress situations, sharpen in-cab decision making, and repeat difficult maneuvers as many times as needed. Trainers gain more control over how skills are taught, reinforced, and measured.

It is a practical way to raise training standards, support safety culture, and keep your equipment where it belongs: working.

What drivers say about our program matters. The feedback we hear most often is that IMVR training makes inspections easier to understand, more practical, and more confidence-building.

That is because IMVR is not just a headset or a simulation. It is a full training system built on a structured curriculum, guided coaching, and clear learning outcomes. Our Trainer Kit supports every session with a complete framework for attitude, knowledge, and skill development, helping drivers move from understanding to consistent real-world performance.

Trainers use our system to build confidence, discuss real inspection challenges, practice in VR, and reinforce professional habits through structured feedback and reflection. Drivers can make mistakes in a safe space, see components up close, and build the confidence they bring back to the real equipment.

This combination of immersive learning and professional coaching is what creates real cultural change: confident drivers, stronger compliance, and safer operations.

Virtual reality is changing the way fleets train, learn, and stay compliant.
In recent pilot programs, drivers trained with IRIS were twice as likely to identify vehicle defects compared to untrained drivers. This means better inspections, stronger awareness, and fewer preventable issues on the road.

IMVR gives fleets a practical way to build safer habits through realistic, hands-on training that fits into day-to-day operations.
