Can you trust AI to tell you if something is a scam? 🤔

I’d still say: not blindly.

But Norton’s Genie scam detection is now being integrated into Claude and ChatGPT, which is an interesting step.

Instead of AI just “guessing,” it can draw on scam detection tech designed to spot things like:

🔎 impersonation
🔎 pressure tactics
🔎 suspicious links
🔎 requests for sensitive info

That could make AI a useful second opinion when checking emails, texts, websites or online offers.

But it shouldn’t replace common sense or proper processes.

If your bank, supplier or colleague asks for something unusual, always verify it independently.

Scams are getting harder to spot, especially now criminals are using AI too.

So anything that helps people pause before they click is a good thing.
