Orange Shirt Day is always a very important date for our team. The preparation starts early, and we’ve already begun printing this year’s design so that we’re ready for September.

Wearing an Orange Shirt is a small but meaningful act that lets Survivors, their families, and the children who never made it home know that their stories are being heard. Each time we come together to support this powerful movement, we’re honouring those impacted by the residential school system, ensuring these truths are kept visible, and reaffirming our commitment that it must never happen again.

Last week while speaking at the Vision Quest: Conference & Tradeshow Michelle reflected on the two dreams she had for Dreamcatcher Promotions when she started this journey in 2011.

Fast forward fifteen years, and she has now accomplished both.

This week we had the pleasure of attending the Vision Quest: Conference & Trade Show at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg where Michelle was invited to speak on her journey as an Indigenous entrepreneur. This two-day conference promotes Indigenous businesses, communities, and economic development, and it was a great way to bring together innovative professionals.

We’re very passionate about encouraging Indigenous entrepreneurship so it was a joy to come together and connect with other Indigenous-owned businesses and learn from each other.

Thank you Vision Quest for being such excellent hosts. It was an honour to participate in this event, and we look forward to the next one.

Yesterday we had the privilege of welcoming the students behind Elmwood Supply Company to our office for a tour and to talk about creativity, entrepreneurship, and community impact.

What started as a program created by two teachers at Elmwood Highschool has grown into an apparel brand where youth are able to build skills, engage in real-world business opportunities, and express their creativity through design and collaboration.

Every purchase from Elmwood Supply Company directly supports the program, helping ensure students have access to industry-standard equipment and funding future projects for young people.

It was such a joy to spend the afternoon with these young innovators and we’re glad we could be a part of their journey.

Last night was such a special moment for our team because we were honoured with receiving the Spirit of Winnipeg Award for Workplace Culture and CODE.

We started as a small home run embroidery business and have grown into Canada’s largest Indigenous owned promotional company with an amazing team of people. Since the beginning,
Dreamcatcher Promotions has prioritized creating a positive work environment that welcomes diversity, builds camaraderie, and fosters growth. This award symbolizes all these efforts
coming together and inspires us to keep growing with wellness and connection at the forefront of our mission.

Thank you to the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a meaningful event. It was great celebrating the evening with our fellow finalists and coming together to recognize the
accomplishments of the local business community.
