JOB Opportunities - Enumerators....

1. GPA GREEN PARTNERS ASSOCIATION
Complete all planned tasks in required time frame evidenced by submission of completed tasks to the sor/Team Leader.
Take direction from and report to assigned supervisor by GPA.
Act in a professional and honest manner and serve as an example to fellow enumerators.
Duty to understanding and upholding the Humanitarian Principles.
Timely submission of achievement reports.

2. REMUNERATION.
The Enumerator shall be remunerated daily, subject to the completion of assigned tasks or caseloads. GPA shall pay the sum of 75()()frs per Work day (8hours excluding breaks) to the enumerator. This amount is inclusive of transport and feeding expenses. Any expenses incurred during the process shall be bound by the enumerator. Payments shall be made at the end of the data collection exercise.
3. DESIRABLE QUALITIES
At least 2 years of previous experience in data collection or implementing humanitarian activities. Ability to speak, read and write English language. Good knowledge of Pidgin English
Experience in utilizing technology tools and mastering new technology tools, as required; familiarity with using Android tablets/smartphones is an advantage.
Have good knowledge and understanding of Kobo Collect toolbox and ODK.
Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and writing skills.
Good Knowledge of computer applications (Excel, word)
Hold at least a GCE Ordinary Level or an equivalent.
Good physical health and ability to work in rural areas (walking).
The candidates must be resident in Bui or Mezam Di visions and have good knowledge of the context.

Background

The Data Science without Borders (DSWB) project is a pan-African initiative funded by Wellcome and implemented in Cameroon through the Douala General Hospital in collaboration with the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). It aims to strengthen the use of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to improve health systems and decision-making. In Cameroon, the project focuses on enhancing the quality and use of health data, including electronic medical records, by supporting innovative data collection and analysis methods. To support these efforts, DSWB is recruiting four (4) Data Entry Clerks to assist with field data collection and digital data entry over a three-month period.

Position Details

Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Number of Positions: Four (4)

Duration: 3 months

Location: Douala, Cameroon

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

Collect and enter field data using mobile devices (smartphones/tablets). • Ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Sync and backup data regularly using DHIS2 or other specified systems. • Work closely with field teams and project coordinators.

Adhere to data confidentiality and protection protocols.

Eligibility Criteria

Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Health Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.

Familiarity with DHIS2 or other health information systems is highly desirable. • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for data collection.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written).

Are you a young person passionate about peace, democracy, and positive change in your community? Do you believe in the power of youth to shape a better future for Cameroon?
The Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa (CHRDA) is launching a youth-led initiative aimed at reducing hate speech before, during, and after the 2025 Presidential Election in Buea and the South West Region of Cameroon. We are calling on young, passionate individuals in Buea aged 18–35 to join this movement as Youth Ambassadors against Hate Speech from July to December, 2025.

We invite motivated, socially conscious youth in Buea who are committed to:
Participating in training workshops on hate speech prevention and digital literacy.
Designing and implementing community outreach activities as a compulsory part of the program.

Promoting peaceful discourse before, during, and after the 2025 elections.
