My heart bled as I made this video for the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) and WAA Cameroon in December. Going through that brutal and bloody images of the Kumba massacre again made me wonder where we are headed as a people. What happened to the love we shared? What happened to being our brother’s keeper?

As I made this video with pain in my heart, I had just one wish for 2021, that the guns stop speaking. When guns speak, people go and don’t come back. Let us communicate with our mouths and hearts, not guns. Just a couple of days into the New Year, we already have death tolls as a result of gun violence. Are we going to stop the guns or continue to mourn?

We know we can't stop every act of violence, every act of evil in the world, but maybe we could try to stop one act of evil, one act of violence: SILENCE THE GUNS.
