How to choose a suitable SSD for yourself ???
---Rebecca ----
(KingFast SSD Company)
All of us know that SSD is different with HDD !
In HDD market ,there are only two Big boss :Seagate and Western Digital . But the SSD barriers to entry are not high, there are many SSD brands in the market, resulting in uneven product quality,so how to choose a reliable SSD yourself ??? For users who are not familiar with the hardware may be consuming some of the brains.
1. Performance :
Before purchasing , it may be through various websites, forums or other ways to get to know this SSD performance parameters, test data, and the like. Faced with these test results, we should be how to judge the performance of an SSD and cons?
Many SSD manufacturers vigorously promoted in sustained read and write, but that does not represent the true performance of a SSD. In practice, more sophisticated 4K IOPS SSD performance (ie, input output per second). Accounted for most of the time to process user task is not to copy large files or install applications (even faster sustained pace and no useless), but perform multiple tasks (such as email, web browsing, the program starts, the game loads) and processing a variety of work and media files, these tasks are affected by the IOPS. We know, SSD upgrade in terms of IOPS than HDD (results may vary by model) 200 times faster, which is why we have to consider this the SSD IOPS write value before purchase.
2. Flash type:
SSD flash divided SLC, MLC and TLC ,three different types of flash memory. SLC performance is good, but expensive, mainly used in the top-level enterprise-class SSD. Currently , MLC mainly used in consumer-grade SSD and mid-range enterprise-class SSD . since TLC cost per capacity than flash memory MLC have, and the price inexpensive, TLC mainly used in USB products or flash memory card products . BTW ,and some brands are also using TLC SSD flash memory, typically like Samsung 840EVO.
But actually TLC durability, performance are a big issue . In the same manufacturing process, the spacing between each state is also smaller, resulting in the error rate increased, and the time to judge the need for multiple comparisons, increased latency also affect the performance. So before immature technology, we recommend using the optional MLC flash SSD. Also the flash memory market is white sheet rampant, we should buy some original (like Toshiba, Micron, Intel) flash memory MLC particles, to avoid buying "smuggled goods".
As consumers, should be rational consumption, according to their needs, budget to buy, to buy a suitable SSD for yourself.
