In outdoor and industrial projects, connector choice rarely fails on day 1.
It fails on day 90—when water, dust, vibration, and temperature cycles have done their work.
That’s why I don’t treat connectors as “small parts.” I treat them as risk control:
• downtime cost
• field repair cost
• reputation cost (especially for OEM products)
If you’re comparing options, don’t just ask “how much per piece.”
Ask: What happens when 1% fails in the field? Who pays for that?
