Behind Designed On Earth there is me, Laurence Stanger. I studied Fine Arts in France, and I had for a long time a passion for Design, textile, arts and decoration. I started the label in Germany where I lived for 10 years, and now I continue my idea and developping it in Netherlands. I just wanted to place art not just on the wall, but everywhere. Behind the name "Designed On Earth", there is the

idea that things take time to be created, that everything was already designed in the nature, and has a purpose. I choose a slow print technic, to allow me to keep an artistic feeling, and to allow mistake to be part of the work I do. I start the work by researching ideas, designs and then create my own blockprint. It takes times, but all of them are unique and precious even if I do some patterns many times, none of them will be like the others. At the end all items are handmade and handprinted in high quality. The idea is to give to the customers an authentic and original products.
