Stop merging your Excel cells! 👨‍💻

While merging cells in Excel can make your spreadsheet easier to read, it often creates more problems than it solves.

However, there's a simple way to achieve the same effect without having to worry about the formatting of your file 🤯

All you need to do is follow these simple steps:
1. Select the cells you would normally merge
2. Open the cell formatting menu (Windows: Ctrl + 1, MacOs: CMD + 1)
3. Select the horizontal alignment menu and select Center Across Selection
4. That's it! The text will be centred in the cells, with the value being assigned to the left-most cell in your selection 🙌

This easy trick will make it easier to edit your spreadsheets and won't disrupt the formatting of other cells 🥇

The Data Validation + XLOOKUP formula combination is one that I use very often. 🙌

It allows you to specify a value you want to look for, scan the lookup array and the return array and it returns the corresponding value that you are looking for. 📊

If you work in HR it is super useful as it allows you to pick an employee from a list and quickly access their data! 📈
