Dear Friends,
A few weeks ago, Facebook notifications started popping up on the right corner of our Desktop even when Facebook is closed. And I’m sure that you all find it annoying. Especially if you’re at work or in a meeting with a customer that you’re trying to impress with your seriousness and professionalism, and then comes a notification about a comment made by your Craziest friend to make you look bad… There’s no better timing for that lol
So here’s how to deactivate those unwanted notifications.
1- You either do it on your Google Chrome, but then you won’t get notifications from any other websites and not only Facebook, and here are the steps:
- Click on the menu icon on the upper right corner of your Google Chrome window
- Click on Settings
- Scroll down and click on Show Advanced Settings
- Click on Content Settings
- Scroll down to the Notifications section and click on Do Not Allow Any Site
to Show Notifications
- Click on Done at the bottom and you're all set
2- Or you can only stop Facebook notifications by deactivating them on your Facebook account:
- Click on the menu icon on the upper right corner of your page
- Click on Settings
- Click on Notifications on the left menu
- Click on Desktop and Mobile
- Then you can turn off the “See your notifications in the corner of your computer screen, even when Facebook is closed” option
Et Voila :-)
