Thailand Unveils Its First AI-Powered Police Robot
Thailand has officially introduced its first AI-powered police robot, "AI Police Cyborg 1.0", during the annual Songkran Festival in Nakhon Pathom province.
Equipped with 360-degree smart cameras, facial recognition, and behavioral analysis, the robot is designed to enhance public safety by identifying suspicious individuals or wanted persons and detecting risky behaviors such as physical altercations.
It can also recognize dangerous items like knives or sticks while intelligently ignoring harmless objects like water guns, which are commonly used during the Songkran celebration.
The AI robot is directly connected to the central command center and processes live data from CCTV cameras and drones. Its goal is to increase public security and reduce the need for physical police presence in crowded areas.
This move highlights Thailand’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into law enforcement and public safety initiatives.
