We just migrated a company from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 in 48 hours.

Here's what nobody tells you about cloud migrations:

Most IT consultants will say "it takes 2-3 weeks minimum."

We proved them wrong.

But here's the truth...speed wasn't the goal. Zero disruption was.

What we learned:

❌ Don't migrate on Mondays (learned this the hard way)
❌ Don't assume "cloud-to-cloud" means "easy"
❌ Don't skip the permission mapping (biggest mistake companies make)

✅ Do migrate in phases, not all at once
✅ Do over-communicate with the team (we sent update emails)
✅ Do test everything twice, deploy once

The moment that almost broke us:

Day 1, 11:47 PM. Email sync stalled at 67%

3 years of business correspondence. Frozen.

Our team didn't sleep.

We rebuilt the connection architecture from scratch.

By 6 AM, every single email was exactly where it needed to be.

Most companies are one wrong click away from a data breach.

Here's what I see all the time:

Companies spend thousands building beautiful SharePoint intranets. Modern design. Clean layout. Everything looks perfect.

But then I ask: "Who can see this confidential document?"
Silence.

"Who has edit access to your finance folder?"

Here's the reality:

→ 70% of SharePoint sites have misconfigured permissions

Not receiving external emails in Outlook?

This is one of the most frustrating issues IT admins deal with.

I just posted a video reply to a Microsoft Tech Community question where I walk through the ultimate troubleshooting guide step by step.

Here are 3 quick checks you should do right away:

1️⃣ See if it’s just one user or everyone (this changes the approach).
2️⃣ Test emails in Outlook Web (outlook.office.com) to isolate app vs. server issues.
3️⃣ Run a Message Trace in the Exchange Admin Center to see where messages are getting stuck.

❌ Microsoft Teams Reactions: Why can’t we control this in 2025?

One of the toughest parts of my role?

Hearing clients vent about Microsoft 365 features that should be simple !! but somehow still aren’t.
Just last week, someone asked me:

“Can I turn off reactions in Teams? I'm tired of 🤮 and 🤦♂️ on my posts.”

And the answer?

No. Not unless you're in a meeting.

And that’s just… disappointing.

I’m not just a consultant …. I use Teams every day too.

When tools we rely on lack basic moderation features, it opens the door to misuse, passive-aggression, and even toxicity. That’s not what a digital workplace should feel like.

👉 Until Microsoft catches up, here’s what I recommend:

• Document and report misuse through HR.
• Vote for the feature on Microsoft’s Feedback Portal >> yes, they do listen when enough people care.

Users deserve more control over their experience.

Why send a plain email when you can send a professional one instantly?

We’ve just built a custom email solution in Power Platform at MStack360 that makes client follow-ups look polished and personal every time.

Instead of typing from scratch, I can send a clean template with:

- Client name and subject line pre-filled

- Direct meeting link if needed (just in case)

- Any Custom button for rescheduling

It looks nice, saves time, and improves the client experience.

Today a client asked for three shared mailboxes. Instead of clicking around the Admin Center, I asked ChatGPT to draft a PowerShell script > then created all three mailboxes (with permissions) in one run.

It turned a 5–10 minute manual task into a fun, repeatable workflow I can reuse the next time a client asks for “three more.”

Like to suffer 🤣 but I really enjoyed it :)

Review the script, adapt to your naming standards, and you’re good to go.

If you’re managing Microsoft 365 at scale, small automations like this add up - faster delivery, fewer errors, and better consistency.
