One of the biggest and, without a doubt, most fulfilling commissioned projects I’ve ever worked on: 15 illustrations created with a noble purpose, to raise awareness and inspire care for wildlife

This project is dedicated to the local species of South Carolina, created to help people recognize them, connect with them, and understand the importance of protecting local fauna.

Animals have always been my favorite subjects to draw, especially fish and marine life. So when I had this commissioned project opportunity, of a Maori style DogTooth Tuna, from my buddy and spearfishing guide , based in Amed (Bali), I was quite enthusiastic .
I enjoyed every step of the creative process, and seeing my logo published in a international spearfishing magazine made me pretty proud.

In this project masterclass by in , I create this artwork with the purpose of cultivating awareness about the critical environmental issue of our oceans and marine life.
Spending time underwater what I like the most is interacting with wildlife species, and having eye contact with them is the most magical and intense moment, that’s why I decided to illustrate all the animals facing the beholder, as if they look at us straight in the eyes, and give more power at the message.
I think that art and creativity have the power to transcend language and resonate with people in a way that no other channel can, and make changes and social transformation happen.
