At Teamleader, we always eat lunch together. Whether you’re sitting with your usual lunch crew, catching up with someone from another team, or chatting with a new face, there’s always room for a good conversation. And with our chefs Silvia and Gerlinde in the kitchen, we’re spoiled with great food every day.
To mark Diversity Day, we gave that lunch a personal twist. Everyone was invited to share a recipe they feel connected to. A childhood classic from your grandparents. A meal that reminds you of home. A dish tied to post-match celebrations or family holidays. Silvia and Gerlinde brought those stories to life, turning them into one shared, flavour-packed meal. As always, with care, creativity and a lot of love.
Colleagues went looking for the recipes that mattered most, digging through old cookbooks, texting family members, or trying to put childhood memories into words (and measurements). Others heroically showed up without a recipe but with an empty plate, ready to “support the initiative” by tasting everything. No judgement. We need both to make it work.
The result? A shared lunch that felt even warmer than usual. A table full of stories, laughs, and proud moments, told through food.
We say it often, but food really does bring people together. And in a place where we value openness, curiosity and connection, this felt like the most natural way to celebrate not just where we come from, but who we are when we sit down together.
