Last week, I reported details and photos of a job I did in Paisley last week for a couple who needed telecom wiring tidied so they could have their new bathroom fitted, so I was delighted to receive their feedback and so I just wanted to share this with you all :

Hi and here is some of latest work :

Laptop slow with failing hard drive updated with additional memory and solid state drive.

Desktop PC not booting due malware and corrupted operating system, cleaned, backed up and clean install of windows 10.

Smart tv not connecting to network, provided new powerline adaptors.

Customer having new windows installed, drilled wall at new location and moved socket and wiring.

Customer with new fibre installation and poor wifi range, extended data with new wifi solution.

Customer having internal wall removed, shifted internal wiring and phone socket to new location.

Customer in Paisley having new bathroom fitted, drilled external wall and re-located phone system.

Nice wee job today , before and after photos... customer delighted and broadband speed increased significantly...due to removal of surplus wiring , screw connections, old bell circuit, and dongle type filters, all of which affected broadband signal.

I posted this if you want to use it for nextdoor.

I recently needed some telecomms work doing whilst I was not in the country and was so glad I found Martin. From the outset he put me at ease by clearly knowing what he was talking about but more importantly knowing exactly what my requirement was.The work was carried out with minimal fuss. Telecom and PC Help. I had a nice wee job last week helping a customer who was working from home.
Instead of installing the phone point where the customer wanted it, namely his office, the phone company brought the wire down the roof trapping it inside new roofline fittings and put the socket with router in the conservatory where the customer didn’t want it.
I provided a new cable re-routing it via the loft from the newbuild extension to the office, fitted a new socket for router and pc, customer and his wife were delighted with the solution and especially that the cable coming down from the loft was neatly encased in d-line trunking which looks like a piece of moulding with a smooth rounded profile .... 😃👍

A nice wee job yesterday in Ayr :

An elderly lady about to sell her house and having windows replaced ready to put house on market, however window company could not start the work of removing the old window because of phone wiring.
Customer contacted the telecomms company about this and was quoted a three figure sum, however they advised her to contact some independent telecom engineers and was given my number...the lady was anxious so I called the following day to see what work was needed, and agreed to do the work immediately. The wall was drilled, cabling re-routed, old interior wiring disconnected and removed and socket re-sited. The customer was absolutely delighted with speed, quality, and price, finally I spoke with the manager of the window company informing him that the work could now proceed without delay, for which he was most gradeful and asked for some business cards...😃👍

Telecom and PC Help. Hi there,

I would just like to thank all my customers for contacting me for remote assistance with their telecom / broadband/ computer issues over this dreadfully cruel covid-19 pandemic.

One chap phoned me from Lockerbie recently, complaining that his broadband connection was slow and dropping out frequently. I then asked him a series of questions, requested some photographs, and carried out some remote tests with him, and identified the issues causing the problem.
He now is enjoying the speed 35 Mb/s which he should have been getting, and he is delighted !!!

We now seem to have a stable internet speed of the guaranteed 35 Mbps variety. By mid-week I should have a new metal 8 port switch box and a longer DSL cable so that we can re-arrange our office and desk to our liking.

Hello,

As some of you know, I am an active retired BT maintenance engineer and have already assisted some people locally with Telecom, Broadband and PC issues.....However during this current lockdown period, please know that I am available for remote assistance by phone or website FREE OF CHARGE.
