Just served up! 🍽️
Here’s a taste of the illustration and branding I created for happening right now - 3rd to 11th May! This was such a fun project to work on, and the recipe analogy felt far too fitting not to lean into (ohhhh yes, I’m going there) 😅 🤣
Building a brand is a lot like creating a great meal - it takes time, care, and just the right balance of ingredients. Before I even open my laptop, I always begin with a deep dive into the who, what, and why behind the brand. For this project, that meant a discovery call with the client, followed by my own research and a carefully curated moodboard. That board became a touchstone for the whole process - something I came back to again and again.
So what were the key ingredients for this one?
A punchy tone of voice, a bold and inviting colour palette, carefully chosen fonts, and a menu of graphic assets that all work together to make something deliciously cohesive. 😋
Just like combining flavours and textures to get those tastebuds going, every design choice here was made to connect with the audience and bring Bath’s buzzing food scene to life.
Thankfully for everyone involved, there were no chopping boards or chef’s hats on my end (my skills definitely don’t lie in the kitchen) - just a lot of thought, storytelling, and creative layering.
