Early History
SellerLegend development commenced in September 2015. The software is being continuously developed by a team of professional developers, specializing in the Amazon MWS API. These guys have collectively clocked well over 15 years of experience, specifically in Amazon systems development. Indeed, the same team has already brought to market several other very reputable and successful Amazon applications for other solution providers. Some of these are household-name applications you are likely using yourself today on a daily basis. SellerLegend went live on July 1st, 2016, by which time it had endured over 2,000 man-months of serious scrutiny by well over 200 testers. Our Beta-Tester Population
SellerLegend, in its current state, has been intensively tested for the past 10 months by 200+ Amazon business owners who have a broad spectrum of business needs. Several of the beta-testers are making in excess of $260,000 in sales revenue per month, and some of them are making as little as … $95 for in a month (Reference : May 2016). Some beta tester sellers are private labellers, and some are into Retail/Online Arbitrage. Many are selling on multiple marketplaces, some have a presence in 6 to 8 marketplaces or own multiple Amazon accounts. Indeed, at the time SellerLegend went live in July 2016, the system had been trusted by sellers to holds in excess of 5 million orders. Access to SellerLegend is ‘By Invitation Only’
We intend to responsibly manage our growth. Therefore, access to SellerLegend will remain “By invitation only” for the foreseeable future. In order to get on board, you will first need to Request an Invitation at www.sellerlegend.com/join-the-list. Our intent is to select new users from the Invitation List at a controlled rate. When you join us for a free 30 day trial, we will on-board (i.e. download) 3 months of your data from your Amazon account onto our servers. We will be downloading your Orders, Order Items, Customers, Financial Transactions, Products and PPC Financials, Product Inventory to name a few. Access from SellerLegend to your Amazon date is exclusively through the Amazon approved MWS API. We do not engage in screen scraping. While this decision puts us at a distinct competitive disadvantage, we prefer to be 100% Amazon TOS compliant rather than putting your Seller Central account at risk. Hosting and Security
All your information is obtained via the approved Amazon MWS API. We do not (currently) use any facilities which update your Amazon seller account. While we may do so in the future to expand or services, we commit to let you know our intentions well in advance. In a nutshell, most of your data residing on your Amazon Seller Central account will be imported onto our servers. You can feel reassured that our servers are using Amazon’s Elastic Cloud Computing service. This means that we can call on near-infinite server resources as and when required, as well as providing a strong environment against potential aggressors. Nevertheless, hosting on the Amazon EC2 environment is no guarantee that there will be no intrusions. To protect your data, we have implemented and built-in as many industry-standard security measures as we know of. And please do remember : no alteration of your data on your Amazon Seller Central ever takes place, so your Amazon account data is unaffected in case of a malicious security breach.
