Probably never!

That’s what makes Microsoft’s latest discovery concerning. It removed 119 malicious Edge extensions that had been downloaded around 2.6 million times.

They looked like everyday tools including ad blockers, PDF tools, VPNs and translators.. but some could steal browser data, redirect users to malicious sites or download unwanted software.

The scary part? Some waited days before doing anything suspicious. 😬

It’s a good reminder that we shouldn’t automatically trust software just because it’s useful or comes from an official store.

🔎 Check your extensions.
🗑️ Remove ones you don’t use.
⚠️ Question anything asking for excessive permissions.

How many extensions do you have installed and do you know what they all do?

I don’t think meetings are the biggest problem.. it’s everything that happens afterwards 😳

Who agreed to what?
Where’s that recording from three weeks ago?
And which meeting was it where someone mentioned that important deadline?

That’s why I like Microsoft Teams new Recap app. It brings meeting recordings together in one place, making them much easier to find 🥳

For Microsoft 365 Copilot users, it can also create AI summaries and podcast-style recaps from multiple meetings.

Imagine coming back from holiday and getting a summary of the meetings you missed instead of watching hours of recordings 🏖️

That feels like a genuinely useful use of AI.

💭 What wastes the most time after your meetings: finding notes, remembering decisions, or chasing actions?

I completely get why people pause Windows updates 😅

You’re busy, and the last thing you need is a surprise restart.

Microsoft is making this easier by letting you choose a specific date to pause updates until which makes sense if you’re travelling, presenting, or up against a deadline.

But there’s a big difference between pausing updates and ignoring them.

Many updates include important security fixes, so leaving them for months can leave your computer unnecessarily exposed. 🔒

Think of it like servicing a car - a short delay is one thing, but eventually you need to do it.

So, use the pause feature when you need it. Just remember to let those updates install afterwards!

🧐 Are you a “install it straight away” person, or a “Remind me later” person?

Think your team is only using the AI tools your business approves?

Think again 😅

People will naturally use whatever is easiest - personal ChatGPT accounts, work tools, or a mix of both.

The real risk? What information are they putting into them? 😬

Customer details, meeting notes and internal documents can quickly end up somewhere the business has no control over.

Banning AI probably won’t work.

Making approved tools easy to use, with clear guidance, is a much smarter approach.

🤔 Do you know which AI tools your team is actually using?

🚨 Microsoft 365 users are being warned about a new type of phishing attack, and this one is a little different..

Instead of stealing your password, attackers are targeting your OAuth token - essentially a digital pass that keeps you signed into apps like Outlook, Teams and OneDrive.

If they steal it, they could potentially access those services as if they were you!

The worrying part? These scams can look incredibly genuine, with fake document shares, meeting invites and Microsoft login pages.

Sometimes, all it takes is one rushed click or approval. 🪤

🔎 The best defence? Slow down.. if you receive an unexpected login request or approval prompt, stop and check it even if it looks completely genuine.

One of the smartest scams out there doesn't hack your computer - it convinces you it's already been hacked. 😳

A fake browser alert fills your screen, blasts alarm sounds, and tells you to call "support" immediately. 🚨

That's the scam.

The goal is to panic you into handing over passwords, payment details, or remote access to your device.

Remember: Real security warnings will never tell you to call a phone number.

If you see one, close your browser or restart your computer - and whatever you do, don't call the number.

Cyber criminals don't always break in, sometimes they trick you into opening the door. 🔐

One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is thinking downtime is just an IT problem. 😬

When systems go down, everything slows down. Staff can't work, customers feel the impact, and operations quickly grind to a halt.

What's even more worrying? Some cyber attacks initially look like ordinary IT issues, giving attackers valuable time before they're detected. The reality is that outages will happen. The businesses that recover fastest are the ones with a plan already in place.

💡 If a major system went offline tomorrow, would your team know exactly what to do?

AI is brilliant.. when it actually understands what you want. 🤖

The problem? Many AI tools still feel a little awkward to use, you open a blank box, type a prompt, and hope for the best. 😅

Microsoft is changing that with Microsoft 365 Copilot, making AI feel like part of Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams instead of yet another tool to learn.

The easier AI is to use, the more people actually use it. And that's where businesses will see the biggest wins: AI that fits naturally into everyday work.

💬 Has AI become part of your daily workflow, or does it still feel more awkward than helpful?

When a system goes down, it's rarely just an IT problem. 😱

Productivity stalls, customers notice, communication slows, and business can grind to a halt.

What's even more worrying? Some cyber attacks look like ordinary IT issues at first, giving attackers more time to do damage. 😰

That's why resilience matters. It's not about preventing every outage - it's about having a plan when one happens.

✅ Do your team know what to do?
✅ Which systems are business-critical?
✅ Can you keep operating if the worst happens?

The best time to plan for downtime is before it happens.

👉 If your biggest system went offline tomorrow, would your business be ready?

🚨 Some scams don’t hack your computer, they trick you into thinking they have.

Fake security alerts can lock your browser, play alarms, and tell you to call 'support' immediately.

The goal? To panic you into sharing passwords, payment details, or access to your device.

Remember: Real security companies don’t lock your screen and ask you to call a number.

If you see one:
✅ Close the browser
✅ Restart if needed
❌ Don’t call the number

Stay calm, don’t let fear make the decision for you.

💬 Would you recognise this as a scam?
