• suspicious activity
• account locked
• verify now

The branding looks real, the urgency feels genuine, and reacting too quickly can hand over your details.

Simple habit change - don’t click the email!

Open the service directly in your browser and check your account there instead. If there’s a real issue, you’ll see it.

And the basics still matter:
✅ unique passwords
✅ password manager
✅ two-factor authentication

But there’s a catch.

The easier updates are to delay, the easier they are to ignore.

And many updates aren’t just new features or minor fixes. They often include security patches for vulnerabilities that attackers already know about and sometimes are already exploiting.

Every delay extends that risk window 🦠

A better way to think about updates is as routine maintenance. Like locking the office at the end of the day. Not always urgent in the moment, but important enough that skipping it repeatedly creates problems later.

I get it. Macs used to feel like the “safe” option but cyber criminals have caught up.

One of the fastest-growing threats right now is info stealer malware designed to quietly grab things like saved logins, keychains, cloud access tokens, and even WhatsApp sessions.

What’s worrying is how these attacks happen now:

⚠️ Fake Google ads for tools like PDF editors
⚠️ Fake system pop-ups offering a “fix”
⚠️ DMG installers that look completely legitimate
⚠️ Hijacked WhatsApp accounts sending malicious links from trusted contacts

And once attackers get access, they often don’t even need your password.
