What a weekend! 🔥🕷🔊

Working hard to deliver top tier sound for this legendary piece of British festival lore and then seeing the spider come to life, surrounded by a sea of ecstatic ravers had us feeling some kind of way. 💯

Got to give a massive thanks to Arcadia for getting us involved and a massive thanks to Forbidden Forest for getting them involved. Not to mention a massive thanks to our entire AF Live team for doing what you do best and absolutely smashing that out. 💪

What sound does a Spider make? 🕷

AF Live are extremely proud to be working with Arcadia once again, this time bringing one of their most iconic installations, The Spider, to Leicestershire for the intensely immersive, Forbidden Forest festival. 🌳

It’s always a pleasure to work-alongside our longtime collaborators at Arcadia - they’re a great team to work with and the scope & creativity of their work always brings out the best in us. That’s why we pulled out all the stops to make sure this is the best sounding spider ever. 💪

The mission was to wrap this leviathan in a web of sound and to push this 360 sound-field iteration up to new heights, we have equipped the arena with it’s first 9-point L-Acoustics system. Each of the nine towers in the outer ring features 4 x K2 & 1 x KS28 on the top platform, with another 2 x KS28 & 6 x Kiva II underneath. Below the beast’s belly, the inner sound field is made up of 3-points, each formed from 2 x SB28 and 3 x Kara II. 🔊

From our team we had Bryan McLean on Design & Systems, Ben Pedley on FoH, Dan Stewart as DJ Tech and Matt Peters as PA Tech. 🛠

We’re really happy with the result we have achieved with this one - with the sound system offering a fantastic balance of power with clarity against propagation & external sound-level control. One of the key priorities on this site is keeping the impact on local residents to the lowest level possible - something we have taken extensive measures to ensure. 💯

So, in summary, what sound does a Spider make? It’s makes a bloody nice one. 🔥

Main Stage Audio at The Great British Farm Fest from AF Live. 🔊

Our second engagement of last weekend took an arm of the crew up the road from Bristol to Warwickshire for a blazing hot weekend of 360 technical production at this great event. 🐄

This celebration of all things agricultural promised 3 days of farming, food, livestock and good old-fashioned countryside chaos. On all counts, it delivered and added a mega musical line up too. 🥳

The weekend welcomed performances from Groove Armada, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Alex James' Britpop Classical, 10cc, Chris Moyles DJ Set and more. Through the whole weekend, the AF Live team were on hand to ensure not a note was missed. 💯

AF Live were on hand to provide a full suite of technical production, from the start of the build, across event days and right through to the end of load out. Having overseen the build of the Main and Trailer stages, the team then managed tech production across both for the weekend. 💪

Technical production services provided by the team included design, delivery, and management of audio, video, lights and live camera feeds for both the main stage and the grand ring arena - the second of which saw tractor dancing, car racing and even an RAF skydive. 🚜

The world of TV was well represented at this one, with Amazon Prime having a strong presence across the site as well as a live stream of Britain’s Got Talent being arranged, so that attendees to witness the Hawkstone Orchestra get through to the finals. 📺

The main-man himself, Jeremy Clarkson was on site throughout the weekend and entertained the crowds with talks from the Trailer Stage accompanied by Top Gear and Clarkson’s Farm producer, Andy Weiman. 🎤

Gotta give a massive shout out to Nicki Mitchard and Lucas Hynes who co-project managed this one and our production partners Wingnut Lighting, South Point Films and Arena Video. ⚡️

The more challenging the conditions, the sweeter the success. 💪

It was Glory in Giza, as one of four AF production jobs which took place over the bank holiday took an arm of the team to Egypt, to battle against some extremely demanding surroundings. 👀

As soon as we received the brief, the massive scope and ambition of this project was undeniable. Oleksandr Usyk might be the biggest name in worldwide boxing so, for a huge clash with Rico Verhoeven, a huge setting was inevitable. 🥊

The bold vision was to build, from scratch, an arena-capacity outdoor venue in the shadow of the Pyramids of Giza. It was a project which brought together a host of different teams from within Egypt and around the world, including AF Live and our production partners Arena Video. 🏛

The photos of what was achieved do little to underscore the scale of the challenges which were conquered for this one. The team battled logistical issues, 40+ degree heat and literal sandstorms. It was like nothing we’ve ever approached before and being able to deliver such an amazing result was incredibly gratifying. 🙏

The main event in Giza’s desert was sold out, with thousands in attendance and millions watching around the world on DAZN. Audio clarity was essential so the sound system we built featured L-Acoustics K1, K2, Kara, A15s and KS28 subs. The AF Live team on site saw Paul Rose as project manager, Huw Clee on front of house and Bryan McLean on systems. 🔊

It was a privilege to work in such a historic setting for the main event, with the Pyramids rising out of the desert in the near distance and the build-up had been equally unforgettable. The fight week took place in the Egyptian Grand Central Museum which presented its own set of challenges and provided another iconic setting for the week’s proceedings. ✨

Audio production where athletes dare to be great. 💪

The AF Live team was thrilled to be travelling north to Doncaster last weekend, for the chance to deliver audio at another huge boxing event featuring true world-class fighting talent. 🥊

Fan-favourite and hometown-hero Dave ‘The White Rhino’ Allen stepped up to challenge former IBF interim heavyweight champion and Olympic bronze medalist Filip ‘El Animal’ Hrgović. In the end, the superior skillset of the Croatian forced an early stoppage but Dave can hold his head high, having come up short against a top level fighter. 💯

Working alongside our video production partners, Arena Video, AF Live was on hand all the way through a busy week of build-up and pressers, right to the announcer calling the result of what had been an explosive finale to fight-night. 💥

We had some beautiful venues to work inside for this one, including the newly reopened Doncaster Corn Exchange for the weigh in and the mighty, 7500 capacity, Doncaster Eco Stadium for the main event. 🏟

For the main event itself we took no chances, rigging up a powerful and perfectly balanced L-Acoustics sound system featuring K2, Kara and KS28 for sub support. 🔊

On site at Pub in the Park, Marlow with festival-wide technical production from AF Live. 🔆🔊 Chefs were cooking, bands were playing, foodies were feasting and our team were all hands on deck making sure sound and light across the site were on point. 💪 From a mighty L-Acoustics sound system on the main stage, to a pop-up DJ set up on the Aperol barge and a full audio visual suite in the Kitchen Studio - the AF Live stamp was all over this one. 💯 It was a great weekend at a lush event which we were super grateful to be a part of once again. ✨

Day One has been fantastic at Pub in the Park, Marlow and AF Live is thrilled to be here, providing technical production across this mouthwatering festival site. 😋

The selection of stages is almost rivalling the selection of delicious food stalls this year and it’s our pleasure to be working on the Main Stage, Kitchen Studio, VIP Lounge, Fire Pit, Dukes Stage, Aperol Boat, Author’s Table, Ginger Wings Rave and even the mini stage at the front entrance! 🎪

A beautiful sunny day down at the AF Live office. 🌞

Festival season is just around the corner and you can feel it in the air. The team is hard at work, putting together the pieces needed to take on every exciting challenge which the summer has in store. 💪

The team were thrilled to be back in Northern Ireland earlier in April, as AF Live provided full audio production for another massive PFL MMA event. 🥊

It was our second time working in The SSE Arena, Belfast, having been brought on board for PFL Europe 1 in May 2025. We returned alongside our video partners, Arena Video, tasked with delivering world-class live production once again. ⚡️

The main event was an absolute masterclass from Jay-Jay Wilson, who stopped Darragh Kelly (who stepped in at short notice to replace the injured Paul Hughes) in the first round. This dramatic finale rounded out what had been a night of non-stop action from start to finish. 💥

As well as filling the 11,200-capacity venue with live audio from hosts, musicians, and DJs, our team were also responsible for broadcast audio, so bringing the very best hardware was a must. Working with cutting-edge products from industry-leading manufacturers such asL-Acoustics, DiGiCo, Shure, and more gives our engineers the tools they need. 🔊

The whole team loves these types of events, and getting the chance to do what we do best at this level is something we are very grateful for. 🙏

Earlier this month, AF Live provided full audio production for Tyson Fury’s massive comeback fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 🏟️

It was a huge night for boxing, with 65,000 fans attending in person, while the average viewership on Netflix reached around 5 million 📈

The scale of the night’s entertainment was immense and gave our team plenty to think about. From the main event, which delivered the Fury masterclass many anticipated, to fireworks from ascendant superstar Conor Benn, and even a live orchestra 🎻

Working alongside our partners at Arena Video, our team worked hard to deliver world-class production befitting a marquee sporting event of this calibre, seen by audiences all around the world 👀

We’ve had plenty of experience filling venues of this scale by now, and have the toolkit down to a T. A full suite of L-Acoustics loudspeakers, designed to complement the enormous space, and controlled by a top-tier DiGiCo mixing desk, once again proved to be a winning formula 💯

It was a pleasure to ply our trade at such a great event, and we can’t help but look forward to many more to come 💪
