After four years at Spectrum, it’s been quite a journey. The early days were especially challenging, but we’ve grown from humble beginnings into what you see today.
This image is a photoshopped version from around two years ago, but the vehicle and team numbers reflect where we are now. In reality, with our subcontractors, the total is even leaner, not to mention our plant rental service and moleplough capabilities-but this represents the vision we’re building toward.

Van and plant mechanic
Salary: £32.000 to £40.000.
· Additional weekend supplement on Saturday

A Bit About The Role With a Fleet of over 90 vehicles, including traditional diesel fuel based in Brighouse West Yorkshire, Mercedes Sprinters and Transit vans, we also have HGVs but experience on this isn’t a necessity but it could be advantageous. We’re currently repairing our fleet by a third party company but we are looking to bring this in house. There’s never been a better time to join Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd as a Vehicle Technician.

· You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical and plant equipment.

A Bit About You
· Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You must have a good mixture of own tools but certain specialist tooling is provided by the company.
· Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
· Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full clean manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
· High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
· Willing to weekend work
· Plant technician experience preferable.
