Exciting times for Dedham Cricket Club this coming Sunday with our first, competitive U14s game for a long, long time! Our young, male and female side, led by Henry Johns who’s starred already for our adult side in 2024, will be playing the first of a number of indoor games over the winter, gaining more valuable experience before the coming outdoor season. Our same juniors have even worked together to design a new logo for our youth section, naming themselves the ‘Dedham Duchys’ after the barn nearby which was granted by the Duchy of Lancaster in the early 1900’s to the Vicar and Churchwardens of Dedham for the benefit of the village. Henry himself has drawn the groups combined input together to create this new logo and we hope to have it emblazoned on new junior playing kits next year! There’ll be more indoor fixtures to get involved with over the winter, before nets in the Spring of 2025 and our regular coaching sessions on Saturday mornings throughout the season. Our Adult and Women’s side too will always welcome new players, either completely new to the game or with some experience. We’re rejoining the Saturday league system in 2025 so there’ll be competitive and friendly fixtures to suit all. Get in touch and join us at Dedham CC!
