If someone finds your business tonight, would they understand it in 10 seconds?

Most customers won’t message if they have to figure things out.

They need to see:
• what you do
• how to contact you
• what you offer

Be honest, is your page clear enough right now?

The new D.C Computing hoodies and t-shirts arrived this week 👕

It might seem like a small thing… but seeing the logo in print makes it feel very real.

D.C Computing Services was built to support small businesses and community projects with simple, affordable digital help — no pressure, no jargon.

Huge thank you to Lynn at Personalised by Lynn for putting these together.
Quality is brilliant and the whole process was easy from start to finish.

If you run a small business, do you use branded clothing — or is it something you’ve been meaning to sort?

Ever noticed how some businesses get messages constantly…
and others don’t — even though they’re good at what they do?

A lot of the time it’s not skill.
It’s friction.

If someone has to:
• scroll too much
• guess what you offer
• hunt for contact info

They usually leave quietly.

Be honest — when someone lands on your page, is it effortless or work?

Most small businesses don’t need a “fancy” website.

They need:
• Clear services
• Easy contact options
• Something that works properly on a phone

That alone solves most enquiry problems.

When you look at a business online, what matters more to you — polish or clarity?

Building small tools that solve real problems.

This week I completed two internal apps:

• An offline content planner to track Facebook group posts and measure what’s actually performing
• A simple quote + invoice generator to streamline admin

Both were built to reduce manual work and improve clarity in day-to-day operations.

Sometimes the best way to understand what businesses need… is to build the solution for yourself first.

Would tools like this save you time in your business?

💭 Why I Started Community First Web

I regularly work with community groups and youth clubs doing incredible work — but many struggle to get online because of cost or uncertainty.

So each month, I support 3 projects with a simple website.

The build is free.
£10 covers the domain for the first year.
Hosting + email are free for 3 months.

Practical help, kept simple.

Hi, I’m David — and I run D.C Computing Services here in Glasgow.

I started this business to help small businesses, charities, and community groups get online without the overwhelm. No jargon, no pressure, and no complicated systems — just clear, practical digital support that makes it easier for people to find and contact you.

Most of the time, I start by building a working demo first. That way, you can see if it’s actually useful before committing to anything.

I believe in:
• Simple over complicated
• Long-term support over quick sales
• Community before profit

If you’re a small business owner who just wants something that works — I’m always happy to have a conversation.

Thanks for supporting local 💙
